See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Popular town centre pub serving five Wadworth's beers alongside a changing national guest, normally from Bath Ales or St. Austell's and Weston's Old Rosie cider. Neatly pointed walls and metal railings mark the entrance to this well-run town-centre pub. The entrance corridor is flanked by two cosy wood-panelled rooms, one with a real fire, leading to the bar and further mis-match of upholstered seating. A large courtyard garden at the rear (probably the biggest beer garden in the whole of Wokingham) with patio heating makes for a pleasant summer visit and for drinking and dining alfresco. Food is served all day (12-9 Mon-Sat and 12-5 Sun). Children are welcome everyday from 12 to 6pm with a children's menu being available. The pub is very dog friendly. Newspapers are available for customers to peruse during their visit. Pub quiz on Tuesdays. Live music on Fridays and the occasional rugby game is shown on TV. Please note that there is no entry after 11pm Fri & Sat, although the pub is open for serving customers already inside until midnight.
