Recently re-opened under new management, a modern-built, popular town centre pub standing on part of the site of the old Wellington Brewery. Here there were stalls for horses and a 'Gig' House for the carts they pulled around town, from which the pub derives its name. In summer, tables and chairs are set up on the Plaza for drinking and dining alfresco. Breakfast served 9 am until 3 pm. The Gig House Roast served all day Sunday.
